ANGLICARE DAY RESPITE ROBINA

What a special morning and a surprise to have our special guests from FSG joining in the fun and interacting as Misty handed everyone her hot- dog  ( toy ) and then retrieving it to hand to the next person bringing so much laughter and joy . Tigger showing off his skills, balancing on the beam delighted everyone, staff included, and Bee Cee never ceases to amaze the audience so a fun morning was had by all who attended.

A STAR IN THE MAKING

Residents at De Paul Villa were thrilled to meet Caesar,  handsome white standard poodle with Ruth his proud owner and how excited was Ellen ( resident ) as she has always owned standard poodles , she went crazy with her camera to show the family.
They were joined by Baron ( Swiss Shepherd ) Sunny Boy ( red toy poodle )

BIRTHDAYS CELEBRATED

At James Overell Park we celebrated  Sunny Boy’s 6th birthday with many of our canine volunteers wearing birthday hats and lei’s , woofing down a special doggy cup cake ( they all love birthdays ) and what fun trying to get everyone to sit for the photo’s . Happy Birthday Sunny Boy!!

WELCOME

MEET AND GREET

At Villa Serena we  enjoyed a morning  chatting to the residents while they patted and cuddled little Lucy ( silver toy poodle ) Kobi ( snow white toy poodle ) and Misty ( silver miniature Poodle ) . Having time to interact makes a pleasant change when the volunteers get a chance to interact with the residents and tell us about the pets they have owned .

Tri-care Labrador also enjoy meeting and greeting with Yuki and little blind Bobby ( Toy Poodle )who now has his own special chariot and of course Ambra ( Bichon )  is a favourite visiting now for 15 years.

CURRUMBIN SPECIAL SCHOOL

Many thanks to Sandra for inviting us along to entertain the junior school , our hearts went out to such special little people and their carers . Lilla , Tony and little Bruce , Cyn-D and Bee Cee , myself and Misty made our first visit to this delightful school , meeting everyone was so inspirational to us all , they were intrigued by Tony’s wheelchair as he manouvers it with his chin . they really enjoyed the dogs performance and interacted so well , we most assuredly felt the love and we came away inspired .

HALLOWEEN

Celebrated at Sandbrook. We had fun with the staff and residents (BeeCee, Dizzy and Misty) doing their tricks as requested by the audience taking part in the Halloween theme all showing interest in the origin of Halloween, doggies wearing bat capes, witches hat, jack-o-lantern to keep the evil spirits away and the treats were welcome, especially by our canine companions.

MUDGEERABA   NURSING HOME

R. A. O. Linda welcomed us with open arms, residence and staffs were excited to see the dogs perform and to meet Monty (whippet) assistance trained to help the disabled. Monty was trained by Cyn-D and the information she provided was most informative to those in attendance.  There was much laughter when Sunny Boy outsmarted Frank playing soccer.
