The Soo We Knew
You arrived in our lives like a bottle of fizz,
Out popped your cork, and we're all in a tizz.
Full of life and full of bubbles,
We knew from the start we're all in for troubles.
Shopping with you was such a giggle,
As in to a size 9 you'd try to wriggle..
Bagging a bargain was your main aim,
The Op Shop Queen became your name.
You enjoyed good food, - always the best,
But getting the recipe was your main quest!
Your `Advanced Driving Skills' gave a white knuckle
ride.
Our fears and concerns we tried hard to hide.
"Don't worry," you'd say "I know the technique.
So shut up, stop worrying in the back seatl"
As a party girl you stood out from the crowd.
From tuckshops to Titanic you sure did us proud.
(And let's face it Soo you were bloody loud!)
You lived your life so full and fast,
No wonder you worried about your knickers last!
But we knew there was your softer side too!
The creative and wonderful things that you drew.
Our kids you loved without any doubt,
"Knock, knock" at the door, we'd hear a shout
"Ello darlin" we'd hear you say.
"I got this bargain for your little un today. "
Soo, this is for you, our dancing queen
Popular as ever, wherever you've been
Moet girl ? No! you're much more than that,
You're Dom Perignon, Cristal and that's a fact.
And now Soo would say,
"Don't 'ang around here feelin 'glum,
Get off to Kokoda and 'ave some fun"
